2009 Recipients

The most distinguished seniors at SIUC are individuals who have enriched the University community with their active involvement in all facets of campus life. Some of these activities include academic achievement, athletics, residential life, military services, greek life, and registered student organizations. The SIU Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Council are pleased to honor these students with a ceremony hosted by the Office of the Chancellor for the recipient and his/her family, a first year membership in the SIU Alumni Association at no charge, small gift, and a certificate of recognition.

To apply for this honor, senior students need to be graduating in the spring, summer or fall of the year they are making application and have a 3.0 overall grade point average. You may complete the application on-line and print it out for submission along with your transcript and a letter of recommendation from one of the following: RSO advisor or president, faculty/staff member, housing coordinator, or coach. Required materials must be submitted to the Student Alumni Council, SIU Alumni Association Office, Second floor of Student Center.

The SIU Alumni Association and SAC hope that by including these graduates in the alumni family, they will stay in touch with their alma mater for many years to come and continue to feel pride as a graduate of SIU. For more information, call 618-453-2417.
